East Harwood Farm Cottage
(Sleeps 4 People)

East Harwood Farm Cottage occupies a private and elevated setting at the end of a tree lined lane some three quarters of a mile long. It sits above the river Avill and the renowned snowdrop valley. In total, the cottage sits in 40 acres of land.

The cottage is situated within Exmoor National Park. To the south it faces stunning views over to the forest covered Brendon hills and to the east through the Avill valley to the sea at Dunster and west towards Cuttcombe with its oak covered slopes.

The countryside around East Harwood Farm Cottage is ideal for walking, horse riding or mountain biking. Grazing and stables should you wish to bring your horse/s are available if required plus space for a horse trailer. To the north there is Dunkery beacon (the highest point on Exmoor) and the coast at Porlock, Lynmouth or the beaches of Minehead and Dunster, and if you feel like it a trip on the steam railway from Minehead. For the anglers amongst you there is salmon, sea trout or wild brown trout fishing on the Barle or Exe rivers or alternatively fish for trout at Wimbleball lake. Local Landrover safaris through the Barle valley are a great way to see the wildlife and diverse landscapes of Exmoor. Dunster and Dunster Castle are well worth a day trip and at only 3 miles a nice walk or lazy drive. Dulverton, regarded by many as the heart of Exmoor with its range of boutique shops and other shopping facilities and eating houses is just 15 miles down the road.

Restaurants and pubs are plentiful in coastal, riverside or village locations selling good local produce and locally brewed beers. For general food shopping Minehead (6 miles) is well catered for with excellent butchers, bakers and greengrocers and also 3 supermarkets and a farm shop.

Outside the cottage there is a patio area with seating, table and barbeque. Enter the cottage into a flagged hallway leading into the comfortable well furnished lounge/dining area with flagged floor and multi fuel stove. Off from the lounge is a modern well equipped kitchen with range cooker. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms one a double and the other a twin. Off the landing area is a period style bathroom with basin, w.c and shower over a screened bath.
